What’s it all about?
Ever wanted to grow your own bush food? Want your own wildflower meadow? No matter if you have one pot, or a complete garden, this class will outline how you can grow, care and select native plants for your own personal space.
What we will cover?
You will learn about soil, potting mix, preparing your site, mulch, and maintaining native plants (pruning, fertiliser). We will cover four themed native plant gardens (also ideal for container growing) that include bush food, wildflowers, bird attracting and tough plants for all conditions.
Who will be teaching the class?
David Sparks, has been working at St Kilda Indigenous Plant Nursery Co-op for over 3 years, studied botany for over 15 years and is completing a Graduate Certificate in Adult Education and Training.
